• Due to the many interactions between base oil, additives and ingredients  a formulation is developed using different techniques i.e.  simple trial and error , ternary diagram, 2 P diagrams up to the more sophisticated experimental design.

• At the end the performance, environmental and cost criteria important for your lubricant application determines how your formulation will look like.
